Lingual Archwires
Specialty Appliances offers our customers a service where lingual archwires are
provided and custom bent for the individual patient using an ideal arch template. This template is made from photos of the brackets on the CLASS
set up and malocclusion models. A list of wires is available to select
from for this service, and clinical time required to fabricate archwires is
reduced when using this Specialty Appliances service.
We provide with lingual cases the arch guide,
which includes a photo of the brackets on
the malocclusion model. This is used to
fabricate the initial archwires. CLASS
cases also include an ideal arch guide,
which is made in the laboratory from a
copy of the brackets on the ideal set-up. This template represents the final archwire.
