Lingual Bracket Placement
Specialty Appliances offers two techniques for placing lingual brackets.
- The first
bracket placement system we use is the CLASS technique. CLASS stands for Custom Lingual Appliance Set-Up, Service. This process utilizes a diagnostic set up of the anterior teeth as a template for bracket placement and archwire fabrication.
- The second technique is the TARG (Torque Angulation Reference Guide) system,
originally developed by Ormco with the introduction of lingual. The TARG locates
the lingual brackets in a coordinated manner throughout the arch using a combination of surveying and measurement instruments.

placement is as ideal as possible to minimize time-consuming lingual wirebending
