Pendulums-Acrylic

Pendulums

The Pendulum has a Nance button and occlusal rests on the first and second premolars for anchorage. The springs are preactivated in the laboratory for easier insertion by the clinician. If the second molars are fully erupted, it is recommended that these be distalized first in order to achieve maximum efficiency in molar distalization.

Pendex

The Pendex is similar to the Pendulum with the exception of an expansion screw used for transverse expansion and molar distalization. This results in greater overall arch development with the appliance. If the second molars are fully erupted, it is recommended that these be distalized first in order to achieve maximum efficiency in molar distalization.

T-Rex

The T-Rex is a modification of the Pendex and includes a .032" stainless steel T-Rex wires soldered to the mesial-lingual of the first molar bands. The appliance is inserted as a unit and gives greater expansion of the molars during treatment. The springs are preactivated for easier insertion.

Pendulum: K

The Pendulum “K” has a Nance button and occlusal rests on the first and second premolars for anchorage. The springs are preactivated in the laboratory for easier insertion by the clinician. If the second molars are fully erupted, it is recommended that these be distalized first in order to achieve maximum efficiency in molar distalization. The appliance uses a distalizing screw for additional activation.
