The Haas design incorporates palatal acrylic on each side of the upper vault with a 13.5-millimeter expansion screw soldered to bands on the first molars, evenly exerting positive pressure on the palatal tissue and teeth. A 9-millimeter screw is utilized for a constricted arch.Appliance Images
